Last December, the hit series Yellowstone ended after five seasons. The Western universe founded by Taylor Sheridan is far from over after the series finale and will be expanded with at least 5 spin-off series in the future. In just a few weeks, the prequel 1923 about the Duttons’ experiences – in 1923 – will return with new episodes.

Yellowstone fans had to wait a whole two years for new episodes of the prequel series 1923 starring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford. This February we will finally see the next chapter. Streaming service Paramount+ delivers with the first long trailer for season 2 Exciting insights into the next round of the ranch war in Montana.

The 2nd season of 1923 promises bitter battles for survival for the Duttons on multiple fronts. Jacob and his wife Cara not only have to survive the approaching winter in Montana, but also the intrigues of entrepreneur Donald Whitfield (Timothy Dalton), who wants to take over the Yellowstone Ranch and turn it into a luxury resort for tourists. Now the Duttons must defend their home with all their might.
The only hope the Duttons can rely on now is the return of nephew Spencer Dutton (Brandon Sklenar), who died in season 1 from Africa towards Montana broke up. However, his way home is marked by numerous resistances and dangers. Not only does he have to find his way back to his family, but he also has to track down his missing wife Alex (Julia Schlaepfer), from whom he was separated when he arrived in Europe.
The next chapter of the Yellowstone saga: When does 1923 Season 2 start on Paramount+?
The second season of 1923 starts on February 23, 2025 at Paramount+. The new season again consists of eight episodes, which are expected to be released weekly.
Will season 2 be the last? Taylor Sheridan’s original plan called for the 1923 story to be told over 16 episodes split over two seasons. However, there is no mention of a series finale in the new trailer. However, what suggests that the end of the series is approaching: With the onset of winter, the year of the title, 1923, is almost coming to an end.
