In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the protest of the politico-military authorities is strong after the announcement of the international medical organization Médecins sans frontières (MSF) to leave the localities of Nizi and Bambu in the province of Ituri.

Lieutenant-General Johnny Luboya Nkashama, governor of Ituri province, accuses MSF of ” blackmail at a time when the displaced populations are returning to the two localities now under army control.

Nothing today justifies the withdrawal of MSF, according to the military governor who also rejects accusations of impunity. He also assures that the investigations had been carried out after the attack which MSF had suffered last October. The authors are from the Codeco militia.
