According to an investigation from the European Prosecutor’s Office EPO, the suspects exploited public procurement in Prague Motol University Hospital in the scam.
In recent years, several renovations and new acquisitions have been carried out at the Czech major hospital in recent years. These have been funded either in whole or in part through the EU Cohesion Fund.
The suspects are suspected of distributing money to public procurement contracts related to the hospital.

According to Czech police, suspects may receive up to 12 years of prison for the case if they are found guilty.
