People often have the wrong image of people with dementia, Richard notes. “Everyone has an image of an old man or woman sitting in a corner of the nursing home, with drool coming out of their mouth and unable to do anything anymore. But the group of young people with dementia, like me, is increasing.” With the book, the researchers and experts want to show that life does not end after the diagnosis.
