In the MMORPG Tarisland, the developers challenged you to show them how quickly you can get a character to the maximum level. The answer: less than half an episode of Scrubs.
What kind of competition was that? While the developers of Tarisland are working on the content of the new Season 1, competitions are currently taking place in the MMORPG. This time, the developers challenged all players to get characters to the maximum level as quickly as possible.
As a reward, players will receive a code that they can redeem for premium in-game currency. The winners and their best times have now been announced, and the best times exceed all expectations.

How fast were the players? When the results of the competition were published on the official Tarisland Discord server, some players were amazed. The top time to get a character from level 1 to level 40 was set by several players at under 10 minutes.
The fastest player is called Beastyboy and reaches level 40 as a hunter in just 9:31 minutes. For comparison: an episode of the humorous cult series Scrubs usually lasts 22 minutes. So the player didn’t even need half an episode for the speedrun. But he didn’t manage it all by himself.

How are such fast times possible? Leveling in Tarisland doesn’t take much time, but it usually takes longer than 10 minutes. Speedrunning is only possible thanks to a few tricks.
Starting with the tutorial, which is skipped straight away and the players go to Jeya’s cave. Then you follow the short introduction. Things get interesting from the point where you enter the village.
With the help of the so-called ghost stairs, which another player builds for you, you save time getting to the quest area. The other player can also gather a few wolves together and attack them so that you can kill them more quickly.
You go back via teleport. After that, you always follow the story strictly. In the first dungeon, you make use of your immortality and quickly rush into battle.
An important skip takes place during the journey to Silver City. This area can be quickly skipped by selecting the second conversation option with Lorne in front of the ship. This way you can immediately reach level 26 from level 9.
After another story area, you can simply let your friends invite you into a dungeon where the final boss only has a few health points left. A few hits later, you’ve already reached the maximum level.
Is this allowed? The players do not use any forbidden methods to level up. On the contrary, in their announcement of the winners, the developers even praise the teamwork of some groups and call them talented.
The speedrunners probably didn’t use any cheats to get to the maximum level quickly. All the tricks they used can be copied. However, there are plenty of cheaters in Tarisland.
