In Sweden several people were injured in a lightning strike

In Sweden, several people have been injured in a lightning strike on a soccer field in Lidingö municipality near Stockholm.

– Eight people have been taken to hospital. Three of them have been seriously injured, says the Stockholm region’s press manager Josefine Bergenholtz-Gröndahl news agency for TT.

According to Aftonbladet, the teenage children were playing soccer on the field when a thunderstorm started and the team retreated under the trees to keep out the rain.
