Although several court decisions put a stop to President Donald Trump’s ordered relocation of imprisoned trans women to men’s institutions, several people have been moved. This is written by The Guardian with reference to stories from prisons and human rights lawyers.

In January, Trump ordered that “men should not be interned in women’s prisoners”. Twelve imprisoned trans women then submitted a lawsuit to stop the decision from being enforced, mainly because of fear of losing medical treatments if they were moved.

It is mainly trans women who were not included in mood applications that are now being moved, according to The Guardian. Their gender has also been changed in the documents – from woman to man, writes the magazine.
