In season 10 The Blacklist brings back a fan favorite

The 10th and final season of The Blacklist starts off with a bang. Fan-favorite Aram Mojtabai (Amir Arison) happily walks out of a museum, enjoying his life and waving at Reddington across the street. But wait a minute! Didn’t he say goodbye to the series in tears an episode earlier?

We clear up the confusion and tell you why the surprising cameo was placed perfectly.

Aram’s farewell in The Blacklist Season 9 secretly prepares the cameo one episode later

Along with his fellow FBI task forces, Aram stands in the graveyard in the Season 9 finale of The Blacklist. Through tears, he tells Alina Park (Laura Sohn), Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) and Harold Cooper (Harry Lennix) that he is leaving the FBI.

The Blacklist season 9 finale: Aram (right) exits the task force

Aram wants to New York, explore Brooklyn on his bike and see a few shows on Broadway. He doesn’t know any more details yet, he admits with tears of relief. It is the right decision for the morally and psychologically battered technical genius Aram. Since Reddington and Aram are both in New York in the season 10 opener, the cameo was perfectly timed.

In fact, Amir Arison left The Blacklist with a crying but also a smiling eye. He dreamed of Broadway as a child and moved to New York in real life. After almost a decade with The Blacklist, he bets the Broadway adaptation of the novel The Kite Runner around.

Even then, Arison teased a possible return to The Blacklist. But the fact that it happens in the next episode amazes and delights when you look at it.

Aram’s season 10 cameo is the perfect farewell to the fan-favorite

As surprising as the appearance in the very first scene of Season 10 is, he rounds off the character arc of Aram perfectly. After nine agonizing years at the FBI, he has fulfilled his dream and looks happy. He’s in New York, he has time to visit museums, he rides his bike. We wish nothing less for him.

Aram also has the honor of starting the storyline of the final season of The Blacklist. He spots none other than Raymond Reddington (James Spader) across the street and tells his old colleague Cooper.

While Reddington’s ending is controversial in The Blacklist, fans can agree on Aram’s final scene. she is a dignified farewell and enjoyable epilogue for a lovable character who was our moral authority on The Blacklist for nine years.

The Blacklist was a phenomenon. Amidst the prestige series Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, the crime series kicks off 2013 with a compelling prelude. That was the beginning of an impressive success story – and a silent downfall.
