Novelist, poet, screenwriter, librettist, the Italian of Somali origin Ubah Cristina Ali Farah is one of the rising figures of postcolonial literature and migration. Holder of a doctorate in Somali popular culture, she shares her life between teaching, writing and intercultural association projects. She has three novels to her credit, the first of which, Madre piccola, has just been published in French translation by Zulma editions.
