In-school classes are canceled in Lebanon due to Israeli attacks | News in brief

In Lebanon’s capital Beirut and its surrounding areas, classroom teaching in schools has been canceled until the end of December, according to the country’s Ministry of Education. The reason is security concerns caused by Israeli airstrikes.

Local education will be canceled in schools, technical schools and private colleges, for example, from Monday.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, more than 3,700 people have been killed and more than 15,600 wounded in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since October of last year, says al-Jazeera.

More than 80 people have died in the last 24 hours.
