300 delegates are expected in Parakou, but an opening ceremony is planned with thousands of activists and guests from friendly parties. The theme chosen is: “ the reconquest of the rule of law » ; it is an attack against power that often comes up in the mouths of Democratic supporters. No doubt, the conclusions and recommendations will have the same tone.
Several suitors
The delegates will work on the texts, proceed with the renewal of the management structures, especially the current coordination office of 89 members headed by Éric Houndété. According to our information there are other contenders, perhaps even the honorary president, Boni Yayi, whose name is whispered, but no confirmation.
Even if the general elections are in 2026, a little over two years away, the party is already refining a strategy, to embody hope and solutions when the time comes.
