In Nièvre, the village of Luzy opts to welcome refugees and asylum seekers

The fight against the tiger mosquito in France

For five years, dozens of asylum seekers and refugees have been welcomed in Luzy in Nièvre, in central France. These foreigners are directed by State services and do not choose their destination. For several months, they waited for a decision from Ofpra (the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons) in order to obtain refugee status and they shared their daily life with the 2,000 inhabitants of this village.
