In Nanterre, in the western suburbs of Paris, an alternative space is threatened with disappearance. La Ferme du bonheur was created in the early 1990s on the edge of Paris-Nanterre University. Today, the town hall wants to build student housing and offices there. An online petition against the disappearance of the Ferme du Bonheur has so far collected more than 5,000 signatures.
Since 2008, the Farm has extended to another wasteland located ten minutes away on foot, on the other side of the university: the Champ de la Garde. For this second space, a call for projects should be launched to develop urban agriculture there.
