There have been numerous violent riots across Sweden throughout Easter. They originated from demonstrations against a far-right Danish politician.
In Sweden, unrest continued the night before Monday, at least in Malmö and Norrköping.
In the Rosengård district of Malmö, numerous cars were set on fire at night, says SVT (switch to another service). Police were attacked with fuel bottles and rocks.
– This is one of the worst I have ever experienced, says one of the police involved in the operation.
A school burned down in Malmö
SVT said there was a fire at a local school in Malmö.
Also burned near the gas station. According to police, the young people collected car tires and rubbish bins and set them on fire. The fire did not threaten a nearby gas station, police said.
Police are said to have taken control of the situation by Monday morning.
