In Mali UN experts ask for the release of three

In a statement published in the evening published on Monday March 24 by the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, a team of independent experts requests “the immediate and unconditional liberation of three political activists” so that they receive specialized medical care. Moulaye Baba Haïdara, Mahamoud Mohamed Mangane and Amadou Togola, members of the Peace Movement in Mali (MPPM) and the Sadi opposition party, had been kidnapped between May 25 and June 23, 2023. Detainees and tortured by Malian security for several months, their case was transmitted to justice until October 2023.
