After winning the hearts of audiences as the arrogant and filthy rich James Beaufort in Amazon’s Maxton Hall, Damian Hardung becomes the vampire named Ben for his next series. Again it’s about a young woman Love story between two people from different worlds.
At a fair, the sensitive vampire Ben meets the young boxer Zelda (Havana Joy Josephine Braun). Things crackle between the two immediately. He hides the fact that he belongs to a family of cruel bloodsuckers. But he can’t keep the secret for long because Zelda is attacked by vampires at a party in Ben’s house. What further complicates the love between the two: Zelda learns that their family members have been vampire hunters for generations are active.
In addition to Damian Hardung and newcomer Havana Joy Josephine Braun, Love Sucks also stars Rick Okon, Stipe Erceg, Anne Ratte-Polle and Lisa-Marie Koroll. The series is written by Dark screenwriter Marc O. Seng. Andreas Prochaska (Alex Rider) and Lea Becker (Kitz) are responsible for directing.
When does the Love Sucks series start?
There is no specific start date for Love Sucks yet. First, the vampire series will celebrate its premiere on July 1, 2024 at the Munich Film Festival. The series will be shown on ZDFneo and in the ZDF media library at a later date – probably in Summer or fall 2024. Season 1 consists of eight 30-minute episodes.
