Of all things, two sci-fi stars take part in this one extraordinary thriller investigates to stop a brutal mass murderer. We know Shailene Woodley from the Divergent series and Ben Mendelsohn from Ready Player One and Rogue One. The successful Argentine director Damián Szifron makes his English-language debut on Catch the Killer.

That’s what Catch the Killer is about

On New Year’s Eve, a sniper shoots 29 people. The young police officer Eleanor (Shailene Woodley) seems to be the only one who cares empathize with the killer can. It’s about statistics, bureaucracy, influencing career progression and so the cops often get in their own way. The focus of the narrative structure is less on the actions and more on the complex characters. Thanks to the acting performances of Woodley and Mendelsohn, viewers are drawn deeply into the story.
