In Houten visitors learn about the importance of water boards

Houten – “We do what we say, but we forget to say what we do,” says Cis Apeldoorn with a sigh. A sigh, because she thinks the Netherlands should be proud of how it deals with water. Apeldoorn is secretary-director of De Stichtse Rijnlanden Water Board. This means that she is responsible for the administrative branch of the water board in the center and west of the province of Utrecht.
