In his evening speech, President Zelenskyi again demanded permission from the West for long-range missile strikes on Russia | News in brief

The president of Ukraine justified his demand with North Korean troops gathered in Russia.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi has again emphasized on Friday in his evening speechthat Ukraine must be given the opportunity to use the weapons it received from Western countries for long-range missile strikes on Russia.

Zelenskyi justified his demand by the presence of North Korean troops in Russia.

– We know where these North Korean troops gather in Russia. We could act pre-emptively if we had the means – a long-range strike capability. Still, the United States, Great Britain and Germany are still just watching from the sidelines, Zelenskyi wrote on the messaging service X.

– We understand the logistical connection between Russia and North Korea that enables this aggressive action, and it must be stopped, Zelenskyi continued.

– Strong Asian countries, including China, have a role to play here. If China really wants to end the war, it must act, he added.
