You did it and liberated the planet Tien Kwan together in the Helldivers 2 event. Now you can finally use the new mechs in the Battle for Democracy. But are they any good at all?
What kind of event is it about? On Thursday, March 7th, a special event started in Helldivers 2: A new general order sent the entire player base to the planet Tien Kwan, which had to be liberated.
You should free the planet from the ruling robots. Particularly precarious: Mechs are produced on Tien Kwan – powerful weapons for use to protect democracy. Getting this back is my top priority.
The community has now managed to free Tien Kwan. A message announced your victory. And with that you can now use mechs. But what good do they actually do? MeinMMO looked at the reactions.
What are the mech stats? The new EXO-45 PATRIOT EXOSUIT can now be used in the fight for democracy. These are his current stats:
So you can call the mech twice in battle. To use it, you sit in and control it.
Is the mech good in combat? In a thread in the Helldivers 2 subreddit, players exchange ideas about the mech. User Randomname256478425 posted his quick test run in it:
According to his tests, the mech packs a lot of firepower. According to the user, if used correctly, the mech can even mow down 7 to 8 Bile Titans or Chargers within seconds. However, the exosuit doesn’t hold up to much and once you’re in it, you can’t loot.
Randomname256478425’s conclusion is:
Perfect when things get out of hand, at least against Bugs. He’s definitely not very tanky. Better used around a squad for ammo efficiency. I think the mech will be used a lot against bugs, it’s a better “oh shit” button than the orbital lasers.
In the further discussion, the players write about their successful mech missions so far. Included are line defense and choke point fights, in which the exosuit has had a decisive effect. If you use the exosuit correctly, it can really give your opponents a run for their money with its fire power.
By the way, after the last patch there was trouble between the Helldivers community and some devs: Helldivers 2: Employees are threatened with “education” because they defend themselves against criticism, are now receiving support from fans
