In Georgia, the police announce that they have arrested 48 pro-EU demonstrators during the protests of the night before Saturday.

Police fired water cannons and tear gas at protesters as thousands gathered in the country’s capital, Tbilisi, for the ninth straight day.

Demonstrations across Georgia began last week, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidzen announced the suspension of the country’s EU negotiations.
