In Georgia, police fired water cannons and tear gas at pro-EU protesters as thousands gathered in the country’s capital Tbilisi on Friday night for the ninth straight day.
The protesters are against the Georgian Prime Minister’s decision to freeze the country’s EU membership negotiations.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia said on Friday that it has arrested new protesters for involvement in violence.
In a joint statement on Friday, France, Germany and Poland condemned the country’s government’s excessive use of force against protesters and opposition leaders.
