Microsoft Edge Game Assist stands out as a browser overlay that allows players to find tips and guides without leaving the game. This “game-aware” overlay is located within the Microsoft Game Bar and is designed to automatically find and show links related to the game you’re playing.

Easy Access to the Game with Microsoft Edge Game Assist

Microsoft Edge Game Assist uses the profile you sign in to Edge with, giving you access to your data like cookies, autofill, and favorites. In this way, you do not need to log in to the sites again. Currently, you’ll have to find the content yourself for most games, but Microsoft Edge Game Assist’s game awareness feature will automatically provide information for a few titles, such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Diablo IV, and Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga. Microsoft states that it will add support for other games throughout the preview and over time.

Microsoft collects feedback in several ways. You can share your feedback in Microsoft Edge Game Assist by going to Settings and more (“…”) > Send feedback. You can also vote on features you’d like to add to Microsoft Edge Game Assist using the Game Assist Community feedback portal, and the company will also monitor feedback on r/MicrosoftEdge, X, and other social channels.

Microsoft Edge Game Assist currently only supports mouse and keyboard input, but Microsoft notes that it will add support for handheld devices and gamepads in the future. Compact Mode support will also come later.
