A plastic bottle collection competition to raise awareness of environmental protection was launched by the Gabonese authorities in June 2022.

At the end of the challenge on June 10, the best collector in each district will receive a prize worth 500,000 FCFA, 200,000 FCFA for the second and a voucher of 50,000 FCFA for the third prize. Sums to reward the contribution of the winners in the fight against pollution by plastic waste.
