The doctor is charged with rape that took place between 1989 and 2014

Le Scouarnec is accused of rape between 1989 and 2014. At least 158 men and 141 women were victims of a doctor, who were on average 11 years of age at the time of crime.
According to the prosecutor, the doctor had sexually exploited children, among other things, when they were alone in their hospital rooms.
The prosecutor demands a 20 -year imprisonment for Le Scouarnec.
The doctor does not dispute the charges. However, he says he does not remember all the cases for which he is accused.
As early as 2020, the doctor was sentenced to 15 years in prison for rape and sexual abuse.
Child welfare organizations, women’s rights and medical associations have convened a demonstration in front of the courthouse.
French courtrooms have recently dealt with several cases of old sexual abuse, partly because taboos around the subject are breaking.
