A new evolution (EVO) has appeared in FC 24, which gives you powerful upgrades to special cards. But for some fans, the improvements are out of the question. This is mainly due to the end product of the EVO.
Which EVO is it? The Live TOTS upgrade is one of the newest EVOs that you can use in FC 24. The new feature allows you to equip one of the new TOTS Live players with improved stats and additional playstyles.

The requirements to successfully complete the EVO are not particularly high. You can easily collect the games and victories you need (8 games and 7 victories in total) in the squad battles.
However, some fans on reddit.com speak out against this easy option for upgrades. They avoid the new EVO for a reason.

Fans find the look of the new map “ugly”…
What bothers fans about the new EVO? The focus of the criticism is the appearance of the new evolution. Under a post in the subreddit that created an alternative design as a hook, many users expressed displeasure towards EA and the EVO.
The top comment comes from user CptKoma. He is also the creator of the thread and sums up the community’s criticism: “Why can’t they give the TOTS EVO a new design instead of the ugly standard design?” (via reddit.com)

How does the map design influence the community? One user even goes so far as to forego the EVO upgrades so as not to ruin the original “card design.” (via reddit.com).
Others agree and cite other examples from the past where they gave up on EVOs because of their looks, or later regretted completing the EVO.
According to CptKoma, a better and, above all, more suitable design is obvious:
This design is based exactly on the look of the TOTS Live cards. Another top comment from SonPropaganda proves that the alternative is well received. His post “Man, that looks so much better.” (via reddit.com) received almost 250 likes.
When a user asked whether CptKoma had designed the design alone, he admitted that he had only recolored the TOTS live maps. So the path to a more attractive appearance doesn’t seem to be too difficult.
But for all lovers of more beautiful designs, there is also a reason to be happy. The latest EVO “Moment of Truth” is now more based on the TOTS Live template.
