The main union of Senegalese university teachers (SAES) organized a demonstration on the Dakar university campus to demand the immediate resumption of face-to-face classes. Since the month of June and violent demonstrations which have taken place after the arrest of the country’s main opponent, Ousmane Sonko, the University of Dakar has still been closed with officially maintaining distance learning courses.
