There is an innovation in FC 25’s new career mode that gives you much more freedom as a manager. With one setting, you can silence your club bosses at the touch of a button and take control of the action yourself.
In the new trailer for the career mode in FC 25, EA announced that additional settings will be available to ensure that each player can shape their career even more individually. These include different settings for game simulations, transfers and scouting, or for training.
A screenshot has appeared on Reddit showing a small but crucial change in the settings:
The headline of the post reads: “You can turn off Board expectations in Manager Career Mode.”
How do you eliminate the board? To deactivate the board, all you have to do is turn off “Board expectations” in the “Quick Settings”. This function was also officially confirmed in the pitch notes for the Career Deep Dive on EA.com.

Fans celebrate innovation because it solves a bizarre problem
On the FifaCareers subreddit on reddit.com, the community welcomes the new development.
A post titled: “You can eliminate board expectations and make yourself unfireable in FC 25” has received a lot of positive feedback with 480 upvotes. (via Reddit.com)
Why are fans celebrating this feature? In the career modes of past games, the board’s instructions could lead to sometimes bizarre coach dismissals at the end of the season.
The problem is also described in the top comment by user AstonMartin123123:
He writes: “Finally. It’s been the case for too long that you could be fired if you didn’t sign 3 wonderkids from Asia and play 70% of the Champions League games with them.”
What AstonMartin123123 is describing here is the fact that despite a successful season, you could be fired if you were unable to meet the club’s requirements. For example, if you failed to develop youth players from certain regions.
In cases of such failures, the board sometimes took far too harsh measures and kicked you out despite winning the championship and cup. You can now avoid this problem by deactivating the so-called board expectations.
