The demonstrators explain that it is the deterioration of the security and humanitarian situation and the growing feeling of indifference, even of abandonment, which has pushed them to take to the streets.

They demand, among other things, access to basic necessities, the return of the public administration, the regular supply of areas with strong security challenges, and the facilitation of the free movement of people and goods on the main roads in the region. of the Sahel.
These populations of the Sahel region are only asking to live with dignity, according to the coordinator of the movement: ” May our right to security and life be guaranteed in all its forms, as well as the integrity of the national territory, the end of stigmatization in the fight against violent extremism, the facilitation of the free movement of people and goods on all the main roads, the conduct of rigorous investigations into the allegations of extra-judicial abuses and the lifting of the ban on the circulation of certain types of motorized vehicles inside the provincial capital cities are among their demands.
