This Monday, September 5, Ollo Mathias Kambou, member of the national coordination of the organization, participated in a radio program on the results of the Patriotic Movement for Safeguarding and Restoration (MPSR) in power. According to Le Balai citoyen, he was kidnapped in town shortly after the show was taped, by men in civilian clothes.
The organization explains that it found the trace of Ollo Mathias Kambou at the gendarmerie research service in Ouagadougou, without knowing what he was accused of.
Methods denounced by Zinaba Rasmané, responsible for the organization within the national coordination of the Broom citizen. “These kinds of cavalier arrests are not the fault of self-respecting Republics (…) We are inclined to think that this is a way of breaking the rhythm of the mobilization of the popular masses today in relation to everything what we see in terms of failures in governance. This act is not a trivial act. It follows other acts which remind us again that we must mobilize for individual and collective freedoms in this country. This act reminds us again that discordant voices vis-à-vis the regime are not very well appreciated and very well listened to. For these reasons, we believe that no intimidation can start the long march of our people towards liberation, towards freedom. And for that, we are confident and we are mobilized, and we remain galvanized for the follow-up to be given and so that our comrade is already free, but above all that those who burned these acts answer before our people and before the courts. in the matter”.
