Historically very weak in Brittany, the Rassemblement National is gaining momentum in the region located in the west of France. In many villages in central Brittany, Marine Le Pen won nearly 35% of the votes in the first round. Countryside areas where full employment reigns, but where the Le Pen vote has become a protest vote.
