In Germany, about 200,000 people demonstrated against the far-right AfD party on Saturday.

Around 200,000 people demonstrated in various parts of Germany on Saturday against the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, according to the news agencies Reuters, AFP and AP.

More than 150,000 people took part in the demonstration in Berlin on Saturday.

According to the AFP news agency, there were a total of around 200 protests across the country. Demonstrations were organized in the cities of Mainz, Dresden and Hanover, for example.

Demonstrations against the extreme right have continued for three weeks.

The protests against the AfD were started by the German investigative journalism website Correctiv told, that the members of the AfD had discussed, among other things, the deportation of millions of immigrants at the extremists’ meeting. The anti-immigration AfD has confirmed that its members attended the meeting.
