In Bergamo the first scheduled connection between Italy and Tbilisi

(Finance) – Friday 23 June theMilan Bergamo Airport welcomed the first flight from Tbilisi, capital of Georgiaoperated by the airline Georgian Airways. The new connection, the only one with a direct flight from Italy to the capital of Georgia, is carried out twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday, with a Boeing 737-700 configured with 12 seats in business class and 121 in economy.

For Milan Bergamo Airport it is the 143rd destination offered in the 2023 summer seasonwhile Georgia becomes the 40th country to join the network of connections and Georgian Airways the 22nd company to operate at the airport.

The link allows for a number of coincidences with destinations in neighboring countries, such as Yerevancapital of Armenia.

The maiden flightwho arrived from Tbilisi at 13:10, was greeted by the water arch of the Fire Brigade of the Orio al Serio Detachment.

At the reception and opening ceremony of the new connection have participated: Giovanni Sanga, president of Sacbo; Tamaz Gaiashvili, president of Georgian Airways; Guido Farneti, Georgian Airways representative for Italy; Lali Panchulidze, airline representative at Milan Bergamo Airport.
