The winning team had to defeat the Crota’s Ende raid twice, once in competitive mode and a second time in challenge mode, which wasn’t all that easy.
The leading teams failed several times and the difference between first and second place was only 1 minute and 5 seconds.
However, at 1:03 am Bungie announced, “Like father, like son. Crota’s reign is ended.”

Elysium secures 4th World’s First win in 2023
These are the winners: Saltagreppo and Clan Elysium earned their fourth World’s First belt by defeating Crota. This makes them one of the best clans in Destiny 2 history, winning Day One of Vault of Glass, Apprentice’s Oath, King’s Fall, and now Crota’s End.
They were only defeated by the “Hard in the Paint” clan in the “Root of Nightmares” raid in 2023.
How long did the raid last? Amazingly long. Many a player had expected a fast race, since the raid was not considered particularly challenging. But Bungie wanted to try out how tough a day-one raid can be. And so the race became challenging after all.
The winning team crossed the finish line at 00:51, taking 5 hours and 51 minutes to defeat Crota twice.

The Race for Crota was by far one of the most exciting raid races Destiny has seen in a long time.
It started promptly at 7:00 p.m. In addition to Clan Elysium with Saltagreppo, the Clan All the Players and Clan Math Class with Datto were also at the start. Datto had recently taken a break from Destiny but didn’t want to miss out on this revival and finally be victorious.

When does competitive mode end? All players who do not want to play the raid in competitive mode will have to be patient. Bungie will keep the mode activated for a total of 48 hours. So you can only play the raid in normal mode from Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.
