The launch trailer shows the game at its best once again:
What does the trailer show? Empire of the Ants runs in Unreal Engine 5 and is visually impressive. Detailed animations bring the different forest creatures to life, which include ants and animals such as snails, various beetles and more.
Solo campaign and multiplayer battles
What does the game offer? The core of Empire of the Ants is the solo campaign: According to the developers on Steam, it lasts around 20 hours and is based on the book of the same name by the French author Bernard Weber.
As part of the campaign, you fight big battles, conquer enemy territory and expand your empire. Or, you make friends with other species. They will then assist you in battle, perhaps as a kind of mobile support. For example, you fly into battle on the backs of large beetles.
In addition to the campaign, there is a multiplayer mode. There you compete in battles against other players. If the ranked mode is too stressful for you, you can also play against friends or the AI in a private lobby.
“The game has the potential to stand out”

The reviews so far are 77% positive. The graphics and the exciting concept are particularly praised. However, opinions differ when it comes to gameplay, as a look at the reviews shows:
Other players are less fortunate when it comes to game performance. To get a better impression of the game, you could wait for the official release. In the following days there will probably be more reviews of the game that you can consult.
