DON’T NOD, the developers behind Life is Strange, let you become two ghost hunters in their next action role-playing game on Steam. In a trailer you can see the first gameplay and get to know the two protagonists.
What kind of game is this? Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is a new action role-playing game from DON’T NOD, which will be released on Steam on February 13, 2024.
This fantasy adventure is set in North America in 1695 and follows the tragic fate of a couple who have made it their mission to hunt down evil spirits and supernatural forces and send them to the afterlife.

What does the trailer show? The trailer first gives you a good foretaste of the story and the tragic fate that you will experience in Banishers. The couple Red and Antea travel through the country together as ghost hunters until the woman dies one day.
However, she remains on earth as a ghost and even though she is now one of the things she hates so much, she continues to fight at her husband’s side.
During your journey and your fight against the ghosts, you search for a way to free Antea from her new fate. How far you want to go for it is in your hands.
In battle you use weapons and your new spirit powers
As a player, you can switch back and forth between the two characters and use their different fighting styles. For example, as seen in the trailer, Red fights with various weapons and Antea fights with her new ghost powers.
The trailer shows that your opponents don’t simply have the human form of deceased souls, but sometimes appear as quite grotesque beings.
In addition to the combat gameplay, the trailer also shows that in Banishers you have to make some decisions that can have a major impact on the game. On your journey you will meet many different characters with their own stories and problems and you have to try to understand them in order to make your decisions.
