As part of an elaborate community project, fans in Enshrouded recreated the famous city of Erebor from the world of Lord of the Rings. They have not used any mods or cheats for this, but only what the game offered them.
How did the fans build the city? In a community project by the German YouTuber Kontreck, around 33 people have come together to recreate the legendary dwarf city of Erebor in the Survival game Enshrouded. To do this, they have broken down around 220,000,000 blocks independently – so they use neither mods nor cheats.
The city takes over over 15,000,000 blocks of it. They took a total of 74 days for the project and a total of around 10,000 hours. In a video that is over 4 minutes long, the YouTuber now shows the end product of the project.
The result is impressive:
Legendary places from Lord of the rings recreated true to the original
Erebor was not the first project of the fans: A few months ago, Kontreck and his community with Minas Tirith had recreated another famous city from the universe to Lord of the Rings (via YouTube). To do this, you first created a 3D model of the template, which was later oriented.
The team then divided into different roles for the implementation: collectors, architects, farmers and decorators. The architects calculated exactly how many blocks are needed for the city and where they ultimately have to go.
How does the project arrive at the community? In the comments, the project is consistently enthusiastic feedback and even the developers of Enshrouded themselves show themselves speechless:
Fans of impressive fantasy universes can not only be found in Enshrouded to recreate popular places. For example, a player used a modern simulation to recreate a city from Baldur’s Gate 3: player builds city from Baldur’s Gate 3 in modern simulation on Steam – “impressive work”
