In 2025, plan your vacation days intelligently in order to optimize them as much as possible. This year, by taking just 25 days of leave, you will be able to benefit from a total of 59 days of rest!
That’s it, the Christmas holidays are coming to an end, we’re starting a new year and it’s time for most of us to go back to work. But don’t be too sad, because 2025 is shaping up to be a very interesting year for employees. Indeed, provided you anticipate requests from your employer a little, it is possible to maximize your days off by taking advantage of bridges and public holidays. It’s very simple, by taking just 25 days of leave, you will be able to benefit from 59 days of rest in total, two more than in 2024. Here’s how to make the most of it!
The winning recipe is obviously to set your RTT or your paid leave days around public holidays and weekends in order to offer you longer breaks. And this is good because, in 2025, all public holidays fall on weekdays, with the exception of November 1, which is a Saturday.
So if you don’t work Saturday or Sunday, you don’t even need to put anything down to enjoy long weekends. You will be able to benefit from a three-day break thanks to Easter Monday, April 21, and Pentecost Monday, June 9. Same in July with Monday the 14th and in August with Assumption Friday on the 15th.
The most interesting month is, like every year, May. In fact, you can enjoy eleven consecutive days of vacation by taking only five days! As the three public holidays (May 1, 8 and 29) all fall on a Thursday. You only have to leave May 2, 5, 6, 7 and 9 to return to work on Monday the 12th. And at the end of the month, remember to leave May 28 and 30 to benefit from five days of rest.
In a slightly different configuration, but just as advantageous, you can take eight days off between Easter (April 21) and the May 1 holiday in order to take advantage of sixteen days of vacation, which will run between Saturday April 19 and Sunday May 4.
Summer will also be synonymous with well-optimized vacations! In July, remember to take July 11, 15, 16, 17 and 18 to accumulate ten days of rest. In August, you can do the same thing by asking August 11, 12, 13, 14 and 18.
Let’s not forget the end of the year, with November 11 falling on a Tuesday. It is therefore better to set aside Monday, November 10 to take advantage of four consecutive days. If you are a little more greedy, leave November 10, 12, 13 and 14 to enjoy nine full days. And there you have it, with a little organization, you can transform your 25 days of vacation into 59 days of rest!
