It’s been over six years since Netflix first announced the exciting fantasy project Kaos. Now the wait for the bitter comedy series about neurotic and self-absorbed deities of Greek mythology is finally over. The battle of the gods begins on Netflix in just two weeks.

Fantasy on Netflix: Father of the gods Zeus wants to prevent his own downfall in Kaos

Kaos is the new series created by Charlie Covell – a name that might sound familiar to series fans. Covell previously wrote the scripts for the wacky Netflix series The End of the F***ing World. This fantasy series, however, takes a different direction and sounds like an exciting Mix of American Gods and Percy Jackson for adults.

Zeus, king of the gods (played by charisma bomb Jeff Goldblum) sits enthroned on Mount Olympus. One day, he falls into an existential crisis due to a wrinkle on his forehead. What others would interpret as a sign of aging is, for Zeus, a clear omen of his impending downfall. He becomes paranoid and begins to see betrayal everywhere around him – and in doing so overthrows the rest of his narcissistic and neurotic family of gods also into chaos.

Zeus’ concern is not entirely unfounded, however. His prisoner Prometheus has long since set in motion a secret plan of revenge to overthrow the father of the gods. And this plan involves a few unsuspecting people who soon find themselves in Power struggle of the deities find again.

Sounds interesting? That’s not the only reason to look forward to it. Kaos has a well-known cast. In addition to the unpredictable Jeff “Zeus” Goldblum, the cast also includes Janet McTeer (Ozark), Cliff Curtis (Avatar: The Way of Water) and David Thewlis, who played Professor Lupin in the Harry Potter films.
