Invisibility has been an indispensable part of science fiction movies for years. In particular, the invisibility cloak used by Harry Potter made his fans say, “I wish I could use it here and there, even if it’s real.” Scientists have yet to fully develop Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak, but a London-based startup company has managed to develop an invisibility shield that will offer an experience close to it.
HOW DOES INVISIBILITY SHIELD WORK?
According to the news of the Daily Mail newspaper; The invisibility shield was developed by London-based Invisiblity Shield Co. The shield uses a special lens array to re-direct light, rendering invisible objects or people hiding behind it.
The material used to create the shields is UV and temperature resistant, according to the team. It is often used for exterior signage and marine applications.
The team notes that shields perform best against uniform backgrounds such as grass, greenery, sand and sky, and work really well on backgrounds with defined horizontal lines.
HERE IS THE PRICE OF BEING INVISIBLE
The price of the invisibility shield is not very high. A small 12×8-inch cloaking shield is currently priced at around $64, while a full-size 37×25-inch option is priced at around $392.
