Having received the approval it expects from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority, ZES aims to expand its charging network in a faster time.
An important step has been taken for ZES, signed by Zorlu Energy, which is one of the most widespread electric car charging infrastructure support providers in Turkey in today’s dynamics. The brand, which has been waiting for results from its application for a charging network operator license for a while, has announced that the application has been approved by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA). In this way, ZES, which is among the few companies that have been granted a charging network operator license in Turkey, aims to carry out installation operations faster. With the license obtained, the company will be able to operate in charging network operation across the country for 49 years, in addition to establishing its own electric vehicle charging stations.

ZES: “We expect a significant increase in the electric car market”
We will see ZES’s efforts to increase the number of stations more easily with the operator’s license, which currently provides service at approximately 1,900 stations in more than 1,100 locations. Inanc Salman, General Manager of Zorlu Energy Trade, made statements about the process; “First of all, we consider this step taken as important for the healthy growth of the market. According to the statement made by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, we see that the total number of charging units in Turkey has reached 3 thousand with the investments made by the private sector last year.
With this licensing, it is predicted that a serious acceleration will begin in the electric vehicle market in the coming period. With our charging network operator license obtained from EMRA, we have the opportunity to establish our own charging stations as well as to activate the sub-operation process by issuing certificates. We plan to enable companies that want to obtain a license from EMRA to serve their customers by giving them the license to use our own platform, which is KVKK-compliant, which fulfills all the conditions.” made statements.
