On Friday afternoon, an off-duty Chatham-Kent police officer spotted a male driver, who allegedly nearly collided with other vehicles.
An on-duty officer attended the area, stopped the vehicle and through investigation believed the man was driving under the influence of alcohol.
The 25-year-old driver was arrested and taken to headquarters for breath tests. He was charged with operation while impaired and having a blood-alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.
He was released from custody with a short date.
