The storm has brought rain especially to central Greece since Monday.
The heavy rains that caused the storm in Greece have caused flooding, especially in the central part of the country during Monday and Tuesday.
On Tuesday, at least one person died when a wall collapsed on top of him due to the force of the floods.
In the town of Vólos, one man is missing after his car was swept away by floodwaters. According to the spokesperson of the fire department, the man’s son managed to get out of the car, but the man got stuck in his drifting car.
Authorities have restricted traffic in the vicinity of the town of Vólos, the Pílio peninsula and the island of Skiáthos.
In the Pílio area, flood dams have failed in many places and the waters have carried cars into the sea, local media reports.
An additional 650-750 millimeters of rain has been forecast for the Pílio region during Tuesday and Wednesday.
The floods hit Greece immediately after the devastating wildfires. The wildfire that raged across Greece in August was the biggest wildfire in the EU this millennium. More than 20 people died in the wildfires, and huge amounts of forest and farmland were destroyed.
Severe floods last hit Greece in 2017, when 25 people died and hundreds lost their homes.
