Images of the fatal accident on the set of the movie “Rust” in the US state of New Mexico have been released for the first time. In the footage shared by the Santa Fe police, there were test shots of actor Alec Baldwin, who killed the cinematographer Halyna Hutchins with real bullets in his gun, and the moment of the female director, who was injured in the accident that followed, being transported to the ambulance.
BALDWIN: NO ACTUALLY I’m not
According to the records made public for the first time, Sheriff Adan Mendoza’s “Are you okay?” Baldwin replied, “No, actually I’m not.” The player who was asked to come to the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office to testify, replied, “I can come with you now, just tell me what to do.” uses the expression.
Mendoza, in his statement, stated that the investigation into the incident is open and ongoing, and the decision on whether to file a criminal complaint will depend on the outcome of forensic studies.
The footage was released a week after the production company for the movie “Rust” was reprimanded by authorities for “breaking safety rules” and fined $136,000.
