WHAT IS HAPPENING ON THE AZERBAIJAN-ARMENIA BORDER?

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan announced that on the night of September 12 and the morning of September 13, the Armenian army carried out a large-scale provocation in the direction of Dashkesen, Kelbajar, Lachin and Zangilan.

Some positions and shelters of the Azerbaijani army on the border were under constant fire with different caliber weapons, including mortar shells. The Azerbaijani army retaliated to silence the firing points of the Armenian Armed Forces and prevent the expansion of the conflict, and heavy losses were inflicted on the Armenian troops.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that 105 Armenian soldiers died in the clashes, and Azerbaijan declared that it was ready to hand over the bodies of about 100 Armenian soldiers who died in the conflict that started with the provocations of Armenia.

Finally, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan updated the list of martyrs on its website. Accordingly, the list included the names of 71 soldiers who were martyred in the clashes that broke out on the border of the two countries as a result of the provocations of Armenia on 12 September. In its previous statement, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan announced that 50 soldiers were martyred.
