I’m gonna take over the world

The five idols remaining in the competition are Leo Tekiel, Minou Nilsson, Margaux Flavet, Robin Sohlberg and Joel Nordenberg. When they take the stage in the semi-finals, it will be for the eighth Saturday in a row. In a week it will be the final, something that is felt in the group.

– Many feel tired. You may not be as high among the clouds now as you were at the beginning, says Leo Tekiel and continues:

– Then it is noticeable that there are so few of us. Sometimes when we’re sitting in the taxi, you think “oh, is it just us?”. Before we had three taxis to pick us up, but now one is enough.

Minou Nilsson: I want it to be over

Minou Nilsson enters the upcoming semi-final with mixed feelings.

– It feels completely sick. You want it to be over, because you want to get out into the artist life for real. But at the same time, you don’t want it to be over. You thrive in this bubble, it really is a small family you don’t want to let go, she says.

Before the evening, she feels “very nervous”.

– This is probably the most nervous time, because you don’t know if you will go on or not. You’ve never known that, but now you either go out or you’re in the final, it’s completely insane, she says.

“Going to take over the world somehow”

For Joel Nordenberg, the week up to Saturday has been intense. He says he’s trying to prepare for what happens after “Idol” ends.

– I’ve had a lot of thoughts in my head this week. You can tell it’s getting real now, and I’m trying to prepare myself for what comes next. It’s time to do the real work soon and get out into the world.

He is convinced that he will continue on the artist path regardless of how the competition goes.

– I think that I will take over the world in some way. We start with Sweden, then the Nordic countries. We’ll see how long it takes, but I believe in it, he says.
