A new tactical dice game was released on Steam this month, and the first reviews have already received 98% positive ratings.

What game is this about? Slice & Dice is a new game on Steam, which was released as a mobile game in 2019 and then released for the PC on March 20, 2024.

In this tactical Rougelite game, you and your heroes face various battles and use individual dice to determine whether you win or lose.

What awaits you in Slice & Dice? In itself, Slice & Dice is a pretty simple dice game with tactical and turn-based combat. What sounds simple at first, however, requires not only luck in your throws, but also tactical skills.

You always go into battle with five heroes. Each hero brings their own individual dice. With these you face different groups of opponents, whose actions are determined by dice.

You are promised a total of 73 different opponents here. The encounters should be randomly generated. To put together your team, you will have over 123 heroes at your disposal, which you can also upgrade. A win will give you items that can also give you an advantage.

During combat, you roll individual dice for each hero. Then you have to use these results to think carefully about which attacks, actions and blocks you use to counteract which opponent. The important thing here is to win before you have lost all of your heroes.

If you win against a group of enemies, you will be healed, receive a few bonuses and can move on to the next fight. A total of 20 fights await you, after which you will then win.

The actually simple gameplay is particularly interesting because you have to use your different heroes with the different classes correctly and upgrade them in a targeted manner. Because there are items that can also upgrade the heroes’ dice. Not only can better values ​​be created, but the effects of a die can be completely changed.
