On Friday evening, a round of six matches was played in the Norwegian Hockey League.
HPK, which is at the bottom of the league table, had a difficult night against Tampere Ilves, who visited Hämeenlinna.
Niklas Friman took the Tampere team into the lead against HPK in the seventh minute of the game. Towards the end of the set, the away team’s lead increased to two goals, when Eemeli Finland with this puck into the net with superiority. At the beginning of the second period Matias Mantykivi and Eemeli Suomi took advantage of a blunder by the HPK defense, and Mäntykivi gave Ilves a 3–0 lead from Finland’s pass.

HPK has played five matches this season, with a modest two points as a balance.
The start of the Hämeenlinna team’s season in the men’s hockey league is, in terms of points, the worst in the history of the current scoring system.
In the main series, points have been distributed from three to zero since the 2004–2005 season. In the first five games of last season and the seasons 2020–2021, 2015–2016 and 2008–2009, the team took three points. The 2005–2006 season accordingly started with the maximum balance, 15 points.
Lukko claimed full points from Lahti
Pelicans suffered their second home loss of the season, when Rauman Lukko claimed full series points from Lahti with a score of 4–0.
We had to wait for the opening goal until almost halfway through the match, but after that Lukko robbed the home team by scoring three goals in three minutes. Kärpät defeated Aces in overtime
On Friday night in Pori, Ässät hosted Oulu Kärppi, and the match was decided only in overtime.
The hero of the Oulu team had done a hat trick Reid Gardinerfrom which Kärppie’s 5–4 winning goal also came from the stage.
After two sets, Kärpät was tied for full series points when it led the match with two goals.
In the last set, Ässät turned its 1–3 loss position into a 4–4 draw with its three power play hits, but in overtime, Alivoima met its fate. Valtteri Viljanen a two-minute penalty was whistled for hooking, and the away team made the most of their opportunity with Gardiner at the helm.
SaiPa knocked out the league’s top team at home
Playing in front of their home crowd in Lappeenranta, SaiPa took their second three-point victory of the season, when the team defeated league promotion Kiekko-Espoo with 4–1 goals.
SaiPa scored the opening goal Eero Klintrup in the final minutes of the first period. In the second round Antti Kalapudas increased the home team’s lead with a power play hit and also hit in the same set Vikton Granholm.
Kiekko-Espoo, who applied for a reduction in the final set, was the only consolation Niko Seppälän A 3-1 tie midway through the set.
At the end of the period, the guests tried to narrow down without a goalkeeper, but Mikko Petman put the puck into an empty net.
TPS won with a last-minute goal
In Turku, the home team TPS beat Mikkeli Jukurit with 3–2 goals.
The opening set of the match was goalless, and in the second set, both teams succeeded once.

Initially Otto Salin brought the team level in the 52nd minute of the game. Less than three minutes before the final buzzer, the puck was in Jukurie’s goal again. The judges came to watch by Jean–Christophe Beaudin from the video of the hit, and after the video review, the accepted goal ended up being the winning goal of the match.
In Friday’s late game, Tappara hosted HIFK, who claimed their first victory in Tampere’s arena. The match ended with a score of 4–1.
