Ilves returned to winning ways with a lucky goal

Tampere Ilves took a comfortable victory over Rauma in the ice hockey league. Kiekko-Espoo, on the other hand, depressed Sport 29 seconds before the end.

Simon Stransky scored a lucky 3–2 winning goal for Ilves into Luko’s net less than two minutes before the end of the match. Luko’s defender slipped the game tool Niclas Almarin from the skate unluckily to their own.

The Czech striker’s second goal of the season came in an important place, because with the hit, Ilves ended his four-game losing streak in the hockey league.

Quadruple square pier Samu Bau (1+1) was Ilves’ power pack at the beginning of the match and scored his first hit of the season. Joonas Nättinen directed the visitors’ opening goal. Ilves power defender Simon Johansson (0+2) extended his streak to four games.

Ilves took fifth place in the series over Luko, who was tied on points.

Lukko had won their previous four home games in Rauma. On Tuesday it went up Antti Saarelan and of Ponthus Westerholm with hits from behind two goals to 2–2 after halftime of the match, but tightened up towards the end.

Liedes hit in 59.31

Sport suffered a bitter defeat when the even match turned in 59:31. Heikki Liedes scored the decisive 2–1 goal for Kiekko-Espo, and then the home team’s Swedish striker Joachim Rohdin filled the evening with 3–1 victory numbers.

– Our game grew throughout the match and we learned a lot. Patience was good and the emotional state of each player grew. Everyone wanted to win, rejoiced the K-Espoo pilot Jyrki Aho.

Sebastian Stålberg gave Sport the lead in the second period, until Rohdin tied the numbers at 1–1. Both full hits came with an upper hand.

– A two-part match, in which we were good at the beginning. We almost conceded goals a few times, but at that point K-Espoo’s goalkeeper Petteri Rimpinen was able to reset the situations. The third set was all about K-Espoon. In that sense, a well-deserved victory, even though the last-minute solution left a bitter taste, Sport’s coach Juuso Hahl chatted.

K-Espoo, third in the league, has only gone without a point once in their last 11 games. Eight of them are winning matches. The loss was Sport’s third in a row. Vaasa, who are in 12th place, have won only one of their last six games.
