Tampereen Ilves, who are seventh in the National Football League, have changed their coaching in the middle of the season.
Ilves announces on its club website that it has fired the head coach Anssi Ylisen and coach Marko Nurminen from his duties in the National League.
The hybrid academy director has been chosen as the team’s new head coach Joonas Laurikainen for the rest of the season.
The coaching team will be completed in the coming days.
In the final round of the regular season, Ilves will face HPS, who are third in the away league, on Saturday.
After that, the Tampere team will continue their season in the Challenger Series together with PK-35 Vantaa, FC Honga, JyPK, PK-35 and PKKU.
In the four-team Championship, HJK, KuPS, HPS and Åland United are playing for medals.
